Try Some Of Our Signature Recipies
Pomegranate Pancake Drizzle
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons Hughmari Pomegranate Syrup
Fresh pancakes or waffles
Plain yoghurt, cream, or ice cream
Fresh berries or sliced banana
Chopped nuts, optional
Method
Warm the syrup slightly in a small bowl. Drizzle over pancakes or waffles and finish with yoghurt, cream, or ice cream.
Why it works
The syrup gives a sweet ruby finish that makes a simple breakfast or dessert feel special.
Pomegranate Chicken Glaze
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons Hughmari Pomegranate Syrup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon crushed garlic
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
Chicken thighs, wings, or drumsticks
Method
Mix the syrup, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and paprika. Grill or bake the chicken until almost cooked. Brush the glaze over the chicken during the last 10–15 minutes of cooking.
Why it works
The syrup caramelises slightly and gives the chicken a sweet, tangy glaze with a deep pomegranate flavour.
Pomegranate Rooibos Iced Tea
Ingredients:
1 cup strong rooibos tea, cooled
1–2 tablespoons Hughmari Pomegranate Syrup
Ice
Lemon slices
Mint
Sparkling water, optional
Method
Fill a glass with ice. Add the cooled rooibos tea and pomegranate syrup. Stir well and top with sparkling water if desired.
Why it works
Rooibos and pomegranate pair beautifully, making this a very South African-style refreshment.
